I quite like your website but your wind graphs often seem to be out of line with other weather sites. Perhaps i am misreading what they mean but you tend to show winds much lower than actual or forecast on some days ( eg 29 & 30 Sept 11) and then the other extreme some days – ie much higher winds than other forecasters on other days ( eg 2&3 Oct). I am wondering if your data source is accurate
Thank you

Hello Enna,
We have been working with a team of people in the US to make our wind forecasting system the most accurate in Australia.
We are aware that at the moment, in some areas we underestimate the forecasted strength of the wind – and in others, vice versa. All wind forecasters have the same problems at the moment for different parts of the country. Our aim is to be the most accurate in ALL parts of the country and with our new wind modelling system coming out this year, it should be.
FYI, we currently use a few wind data sources, but it is mainly from the BoM.

Is there away of getting a more accurate swell size for Darwin Harbour and surrounding beaches by incorporating the surfline site information or other web sites that concentrate on swell reports for marine vessels

Hi there!
Great Site. As a frustrated Webslave, I am so impressed by your Site design, structure and services.
Curious as to why you stopped the idea of making a desktop widget. Should be a snack compared to the rest of the Site!!!
My thought was that not to have a promotional aid like this is a big loss. Something easy for non-tech users to add to their pages.
Thanks for a REALLY useful Site and service.
Cheers!

Hi do you have an app for your site???
#11 by Ciaran on January 4, 2012 - 3:18 am
Hi,
I have seen reference that you have some widgets available. I will be interested in the wind and tide widgets if they are available for a kite surfing website local to Adelaide S.Australia.
Regards,
Ciaran

I find your web site very user friendly, have been a fan since it’s beginning and appreciate the improvements made in that time.
I live on the NSW mid north coast, throughout summer in the afternoon the gusty north easterly winds pick up pushing any clouds and potential rain events coming from the south or south west back inland. Summer weather forecasts seem to rarely take this factor into account, resulting in non event Willy Weather rain predictions. Will local conditions be considered for future improvements?

Hi,
Brilliant web site. Very impressed by the comprehensive data. I have a kayak rental business and would like to know how to integrate your tide times and heights into my web site.
Can you please let me know?
